Financial Assistance Request Form

The leaders at The Table understand there may be different types of hardships you and/or your family are facing in this season. We want to let you know that we're here for you! We are praying for you and we want to help you.

Financial assistance is intended to be a temporary help during a time of crisis. To that end, financial assistance is a one-time gift and is not guaranteed. Under no circumstances is financial assistance considered a loan.
The maximum amount that the financial assistance team is authorized to give is $250.

*If your need is urgent and requires immediate assistance, please call the appropriate emergency services or one of the relevant organizations listed in our Community Resources document.

Financial Assistance Fund Allocation:


The Table accepts requests and awards financial assistance to members of the Table as well as those who are part of our community. Funds are limited; therefore, funding is prioritized in the following manner:
  • Those committed to The Table
  • Those who attend The Table
  • Members of the Local Community

Financial Assistance Meetings and Communication:

In order to receive financial assistance from The Table, the financial assistance team holds face-to-face meetings with the person requesting assistance at The Table's main church campus: 20 Gambrills Road, Severn, MD 21144. Typically these face-to-face meetings are held on Monday or Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM. There is some flexibility with scheduling. It is required that the person requesting help fully complete the application prior to scheduling a meeting.

The primary means of contact is email. Our secondary means of contact is cell phone. Please be checking your phone and email regularly prior to your interview date. If we cannot reach you after two attempts, your eligibility for financial assistance will be forfeited. If you miss two appointments, your eligibility for financial assistance will be forfeited.

Eligible Areas of Support:

The Table typically offers financial assistance to individuals for the following life needs:
  • Rent for Christ-centered Recovery Homes Utilities
  • Temporary lodging in crisis situations Food
  • Clothing
  • Other emergency circumstances

The Table does not offer financial assistance for:
  • Student expenses / tuition
  • Non Christ-centered Recovery Homes
  • Security Deposits
  • Business investments
  • Car payments
  • Child/Spousal support
  • Legal fees
  • Late payment penalties
  • Elective medical expense
  • And/or any other expenses that are not deemed as absolutely essential.

Additionally, The Table does not award financial assistance for payment on credit cards except in the case that a credit card is utilized in a crisis or emergency (hospitalization, death, etc.).

Confidentiality of Financial Assistance Requests:

In accordance with legal guidelines, all Financial Assistance Request applications are confidential and under no circumstances will that information be shared or sold to outside agencies or groups and will only be used by those who are part of the financial assistance team.
